Western Solar Sector

Solar Sector refers to the part of an Eastern or Western horizon where the moon's Lunistices Lunistices are the most northerly and southerly moons of the month. The lunar equivalent of solstices. More. never occur. The central part of the tropical year, sur­rounding the Equinox and spreading to just beyond the Cross-Quarters. This part of any luni-solar horizon calendar requires the least precision. Within that sector and at these latitudes, the sun moves by about its own diameter daily but the motion of the moon appears to be unmeasurably erratic.
