Gortloughra Standing Stone is about 8km north-east of Kealkill. It is 3m tall and now stands beside a field boundary wall. Its axis is about 10° clockwise from due N/S.

South is on the rise of a right facing slope [Pic].

North is also on a right facing slope [Pic].

Stone Pair CO092-035 is 160m away @ 209° but hidden by the lie of the land. From there the north-east is more solar, the north mark is better and both south-eastern & south-western lunisticeLunistices are the most northerly and southerly moons of the month. The lunar equivalent of solstices - more. zones fall on more distant horizons to give greater precision. However, the east and north-west are arguably better from here.
