About 9m in diameter, the circle seems to be incomplete but perhaps had 13 stones originally.
The radially set portals are fortunately still upright as is just one other stone, which means that two stones have fallen since it was inspected by the Archaeological Survey about 30 years ago.
Just west of the centre, "possible" boulder-burial CO105-053 almost certainly is a real one as the circle builders would not have left a boulder there.
Curiously, a similar boulder is just outside the circle but there are no others in the vicinity.
This seems to be the first step in an inland penetration from the head of Bantry Bay by both multiple stone circle and boulder people:
- Cappanaboul Multiple Stone Circle & Boulder-Burial are 3.3km ENE (70°)
- Mill Little Boulder-Burials are 2.5km NW (326°) up a tributary of Coomhola River
- Derrynafinchin Multiple Stone Circle & Boulder-Burial are 8.9km NNE (29°) at the head of Coomhola River
- Kealagowlane Multiple Stone Circle & Boulder-Burial are 13km west (259°)
