Both South and North points are in dips and close to the intersect of far and nearer horizons. To either side, the south lunistice ranges run across high ground. The north-eastern lunistice range spans a hilltop. The north-western one runs up the slope to end on one. Summer cross-quarter / equinox midpoints, both rising and setting, are at the south end of their hills.
