Cappaboy Beg Four Poster is about 7km north-east of Kealkill. On high ground, north of the R584.
An uncommon type of monument in Ireland and currently unsurveyed. The Standing Stone is c.22m to its SSE (152°).
Numbers CO092-008001 & 2 refer to a circular, walled "cashel" and a standing stone that may once have stood outside it. Locally known as "the convent", these ruins are c.60m NNE (340°) of the four-poster.
- Standing Stone Pair CO092-006 c.120m up slope to W (250°) is probably earlier.
- Radial Stone Enclosure CO092-009001 (also unsurveyed) c.220m down slope to E (75°) is probably later.
