Ardcrony Portal Tomb is in pasture and on an easterly slope.
Only three stones remain that would appear to be: two stones of the north side of the chamber plus a displaced rear capstone. Tomb axis c.89°.
Far horizons lost in haze/cloud. Local, smooth skylines with hedges from c.135° to c.290°
It doesn't look terribly promising at first sight but is probably similar to those monuments of the Cork-Kerry Complex that are at the limits of their geographical range. Most monuments are sited in areas with fairly humpy-bumpy horizons but as they invade more fertile ground the undulations of the landscape become much more subtle and it takes a keener eye to see their relationship with the sky.
