Radial Stone Cairns are a form of low stone cairn, delimited by a number of radially set kerb stones rather than just the normal circumferential ones.
They are regarded as Bronze Age burial monuments and are not common. Only fourteen are known in Ireland and almost all of them are in Cork or Kerry.
The indications are that they represent a late addition to the Cork-Kerry Complex of monuments. These few represent 28% of the known total at time of writing.
Most archaeological monuments are on private property and where not otherwise indicated those wishing to visit a site should seek permission from the landowner.
